This Privacy Policy applies to the Rankyst mobile application, our website at rankyst.com, and related support channels.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), Rankyst acts as the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed through the Rankyst app and website.

You are the Data Principal — the person to whom the personal data relates. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.

We collect only the data needed to provide Rankyst and support you:

We do not currently collect precise location, contact lists, photos, advertising identifiers, or push notification tokens. We do not use third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs in the app.

We use personal data to provide the Rankyst service, authenticate you, deliver exam-specific content, process Pro access, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.

We do not use your study data to sell advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal data to third parties.

We share personal data only when necessary to run Rankyst:

We do not run advertising networks on Rankyst. We do not sell or rent your personal data.

• Razorpay — to process in-app payments securely.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — to store data and operate the app and website.
• Support channels — when you contact us by email or WhatsApp.

This marketing website is static and does not use analytics or advertising cookies.

If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with law, and resolve disputes.

You can delete your account from the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account. You can also request deletion by emailing us from the same address registered on your account. See our delete account page for steps.

When an account is deleted, we remove or anonymise associated personal data as implemented in our systems, except where retention is required by law.

Under applicable Indian law, including the DPDP Act, you may have the right to:

• Access personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data through your profile or by contacting us.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Request erasure of your personal data, subject to legal exceptions.
• Raise a grievance with us if you believe your data has been handled improperly.

Rankyst is intended for users aged 13 and above. If you are under 18, please use Rankyst with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including secure authentication and access controls on our systems.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
